Screaming Lord Sutch, born David Edward Sutch on June 10, 1940, was a British rock musician and eccentric performer known for his theatrical style and horror-themed music. Sutch's notable works include songs like "Jack the Ripper" and "Monster in Black Tights," which showcased his penchant for horror and camp. He formed the Savages, a backing band that featured notable musicians, including future members of The Who and Led Zeppelin. Sutch was also known for his unsuccessful political campaigns, most famously running for the UK Parliament as the leader of the Official Monster Raving Loony Party, which he founded in 1983.
